Partnerships

Marie Stopes is a member of ‘Voice for Choice’, an organisation made up of
pro-choice organisations and service providers who actively campaign for a change in the law. Their aims include:

• abortion to be available solely at the request of the pregnant woman within existing time limits the law
• in Northern Ireland to be brought into line with the rest of the UK

As the UK’s leading provider outside of the NHS, Marie Stopes International:

• holds contracts with over 70 Primary Care Trusts allowing women to access local services
• provides speedy appointments to women on just one telephone call, with most able to access the service within 48 hours
• provides a client-centred service offering a range of choices, including early medical abortion and non-anaesthetic options, such as conscious sedation, facilitating early discharge
