Future plans


  • train at least 1,000 district health personnel in the use of long-acting methods of contraception
  • engage more Village Health Teams (VHT) in the provision of family planning
  • reduce unmet need for contraception among women of reproductive age in rural Uganda by 40%
  • expand output-based aid scheme through the sale of subsidised long-acting and permanent method vouchers to those most in need
  • expand outreach to the underserved areas of the country, such as the fishing communities and Karamoja district
