This is a varied and challenging role for an experienced HCA working in a call centre environment dealing with pre treatment telephone consultations. Ideally holding NVQ (level 3) Healthcare, this will give you the opportunity to make a real difference in client care.

You will be required to work a rotational shift pattern that includes overnight, day and weekend shifts. This post is subject to a CRB check.

You must have a friendly, helpful, warm and caring telephone manner, the ability to work without close supervision and excellent judgement. You must be flexible, enthusiastic, hard working, IT literate and committed to client-centred care. You must be happy working in a hectic environment and pro-choice on abortion.

Nurse Advisor

Working within our pioneering 24 hour call centre as a registered nurse, you will take telephone calls from clients who have attended one of our clinics across the country for a termination of pregnancy, vasectomy or female sterilisation and who now need post-treatment advice. You will have to assess the situation by telephone and arrange the appropriate follow-up care, liaising closely with the clinics. You will as required make bookings for treatment. In addition, you will contact clients to carry out pre treatment telephone consultations within a structured diary. post registration and recent Gynaecological or Obstetric experience is required. Further training in this field will be provided.

In this role, you’ll provide the very best telephone advice and appointment booking service for our clients. You’ll also provide assistance by liaising with GPs and health authorities. Full training will be provided.

You must be IT literate, with skills in MS Office. Experience of dealing with clients, including incoming telephone calls, is required. You must be able to clearly communicate important information and deal with people in a warm manner. An understanding of, and commitment to, the mission of MSI is essential.

Country Director in Waiting - Africa & Latin America

The Country Director In Waiting (CDIW) programme is designed to harness relevant skills and experiences that are bought at an advanced level whilst gaining familiarity with MSI, our partnership model and the key components of a senior management position.

It is anticipated that the CDIW will spend an initial 6 to 12 months based from the London support office. During this time the CDIW will travel extensively within the MSI partnership and will work on projects to support multiple country programmes within the Africa and Latin America region. The aim is that at the end of an agreed time period, the CDIW will take a Senior Management vacancy within on of our partner programmes. Throughout this initial period in London the post holder will be required to travel extensively with long periods of time (up to 3 months) in country.

We are looking for a focused Registered Nurse to ensure an efficient and effective service for clients in our busy Day Unit. This varied and interesting role will give you the opportunity to use your nursing skills in a pro-active, positive working environment providing excellent client care to clients requiring termination of pregnancy and vasectomy.

As the Anaesthetic Nurse for the centre you’ll provide appropriate and effective assistance within our busy treatment room, ensuring client-led care that adheres to our philosophy of minimal intervention.

You must have NMC registration, with a qualification in anaesthetics such as a diploma in Operating Department Anaesthetics. Post-qualification experience in a relevant setting is also required. You will be responsible for leading, setting and maintaining the highest possible standards for the entire team, including nurses, HCAs, surgeons and anaesthetists. This exciting opportunity involves being responsible for service improvements and management of change in the aim to continuously improve the quality of service as well as liaison with the Care Quality Commission. As a key member of our Nursing team this role requires clinical excellence, an open mind to change, a dynamic hands-on approach and outstanding strong team leadership skills. You will work closely with the Senior Management team and will deputise for the Clinical Lead in their absence.
