This calculator has been designed to give you an idea of the treatment options available to you*. If you decide to have an abortion with Marie Stopes UK, one of our nurses will give a more approximate gestation date during your appointment by way of a scan.
*Please note that this online calculator will only give you an estimated gestation based on the details you have provided.

Please select the first day of your last menstrual period.

Vasectomy Reversal

You should view vasectomy as a permanent contraception. If you think you may want to have it reversed, you should not have it done.

Vasectomy Reversal

Marie Stopes UK does not carry out reversals, and funding for them may not be available on the NHS. Should you wish to have your vasectomy reversed, please contact your GP for advice.

Vasectomy reversal is more successful if it happens fairly soon after the original vasectomy. The longer the time between your vasectomy and a reversal operation, the more unlikely it is that a reversal will be successful. Only choose vasectomy if you're sure you want a permanent contraception solution.

If you are unsure, Marie Stopes UK can offer counselling.

Can my vasectomy reverse itself?

There is a small risk (about 1 in every 2000 vasectomies) that the tubes might reform a long while after the operation. If this happens, you can make your partner pregnant. If you are worried about this, you can do a semen check again.
